Our approach to your privacy

Naam Jap is built with devotion for personal spiritual practice. Your jap is sacred and personal, and so is the data about it. We collect nothing. The counter, your custom mantras, your streaks, and your daily totals all live only on your own device. No server stores anything about you.

What data we collect

None. There is no signup, no email, no account, no analytics, and no cookies on this website. We do not run any tracking pixels, advertising scripts, or third-party data collectors.

How your data is stored

The website uses your browser's localStorage to remember three kinds of information, all on your device only:

• Your custom mantras (the ones you have added through the "Choose Mantra" picker)
• Your daily chant counts, completed malas, and streak history
• Your sound preference (whether the bell is on or off)

This data never leaves your browser. We have no access to it. If you clear your browser data, it is permanently gone, even from your own device.

The Android app

The Naam Jap Android app stores your data locally on your phone using DataStore. The app does not require an account, does not connect to any of our servers, and does not transmit your jap data anywhere. See the Play Store listing for the app's full data safety disclosure.

Third-party services

The website loads two external resources for visual presentation:

• Google Fonts: We load Tiro Devanagari Sanskrit, Fraunges, and Manrope from fonts.google.com. When your browser requests these fonts, Google may log the request per their privacy policy.
• Google Play Store: Clicking "Download for Android" takes you to the Play Store page for our app. Google's privacy policy applies on their site.

We do not control these third-party services. Please review their privacy policies if this matters to you.

Children's privacy

The website is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any data from any user, regardless of age, because we do not collect any data at all.

Your rights

Since we do not hold any of your data, there is nothing for us to delete, export, or correct. You have full control: clear your browser data or uninstall the app at any time, and every trace of your usage disappears.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices ever change (for example, if we add optional account sync in the future), we will update this page and clearly mark the date. We will never silently start collecting your data.
